Introduction

Hello! Welcome to my first blog post!

My name is Michelle Meiqi Zhu and in this website I will be creating blog posts, posting past and current works, and write random short stories or blog ideas.

Here is a little more information about myself...

I am a Chinese American. I was born in China in 1997 and came to the United States in 2002. I have gotten my U.S. citizenship in 2017, and I currently live in Lexington, Kentucky.

I graduated from high school in 2016 and went to University of Kentucky with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Design. I graduated from college in May of 2020. I did Post-Graduate Training Program: Communication & Interpersonal Skills between 2021-2022.

I was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease when I was 13 years old. Which explains the weight gain, hairy skin, moon rounded face, acne, and irregular periods. I had three surgeries and two gamma knife radiation to have my pituitary tumor removed. The mental symptoms of Cushing's varies to everyone, however, for me, I get angry, depressed, happy, and anxiety. Now, I am about seven years of post-ops. I feel better and lost many weight than my highest weight when I still had a pituitary tumor, which was about 200 pounds.

Also, due to Cushing's, I also have PCOS. It's rare for a woman to have both. As for me, I'm one of those one in a million chances of getting them.

I am passionate in creative writing because I was not fluent in English when I was a child and up to my teenage years. I got into creative writing in high school when a few Language Arts teachers back in middle school told me that I am creative in some way. I got better in English over the years and it got me to where I am now. I like to read and write whenever I have my free time.

Writing is secondary for me and I have a creative imagination. Ideas normally occur when I dreaming, exercising, or exploring the world. I am an ambivert and my MBTI results is an INTJ-A, but my introversion is dominant than my extroversion. I like to write when I am given the time to destress about the outside world. Writing gives me the escape to my own fantasies. It can't be a reality, so I take it into matter that I should write my fantasies into a story, instead of waiting for a miracle to happen.

I have thought of many stories, but I haven't finished or thought of them thoroughly. Well, except for one. It's going to be a series and an original one. It may seem like a fan fiction or rom-com, but it's supposedly adult fiction with the sub-genre as realistic fiction. The story is almost like a comic novel or script like novel, but I turned into a different writing style. I have thought of this story more than the other ones that is still on hold. I call this story Incognita. It is a new superhero story from an alternate universe as the prime Earth.

Incognita is a new spiraling story with mixture of different fictional genres and sub-genres. The first book is the origin and short, so don't worry if you want more. I have more books to write and mostly focusing on Incognita's story.
